This smash burger quesadilla isn’t fancy, and it doesn’t try to be. It’s quick, comforting, and forgiving,
which is basically what I want from most things in life. If it’s not perfect the first time, congrats.
You’re doing it right. That’s mostly what this blog is about anyway.
Ingredients
Method
- Roll the ground beef into two 3-ounce balls.
- Place one ball between two sheets of parchment paper. Use a frying pan to smash the burger. Repeat with the second ball of meat.
- Season burgers with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Cook in a frying pan over medium heat for 2-3 minutes per side (depending on how well you like your burger cooked).
- While the burgers are cooking, fold the tortilla in half, spray a frying pan with cooking spray, and cook the tortilla until it is golden on each side.
- During the last minute of cook time add the cheese to the burgers.
- Cut the tortilla in half and add one burger to each half.
