Ingredients

  • 4 cups mixed berries strawberries sliced
  • 24 oz butter pound cake cut into cubes
  • 1/4 cup raspberry jam
  • 4 cups vanilla pudding prepared
  • 4 cups whipped topping thawed

Equipment

  • Trifle bowl or large glass bowl
  • Knife
  • Spoon or spatula
  • Small bowl for jam

Method

  1. Arrange half of the pound cake cubes in the bottom of a trifle bowl, spreading them evenly to create the base layer.
  2. Spread a thin layer of raspberry jam over the cake using a spoon or brush, making sure it lightly coats the surface.
  3. Add layers of pudding, whipped topping, and sliced strawberries, spreading each layer evenly for a balanced texture.
  4. Repeat the layering process with the remaining ingredients, using blueberries or mixed berries for the second fruit layer.
  5. Finish with a final layer of whipped topping and decorate the top with the remaining berries in a pattern or scattered evenly.
  6. Cover and refrigerate the trifle for at least one hour so the layers set and flavors combine.
  7. Serve chilled directly from the bowl for best taste and texture.
