Method
- Add the sugar to a plate.
- Rub the lemon zest into the sugar with your fingers until fragrant and lightly yellow.

- Chill a martini glass. Moisten the rim with a lemon wedge, then dip the rim into the lemon sugar. Set aside.
- Add vodka, Cointreau (or triple sec), lemon juice, simple syrup, and a handful of ice to a cocktail shaker.
- Shake well for about 30 seconds, until very cold.
- Strain into the prepared martini glass and serve immediately.

Notes
If your Lemon Drop Martini isn’t perfect the first time, congrats. You’re doing it right. Adjust it, laugh about it, and try again. That’s kind of the whole point.
