Ingredients

  • 5 mint leaves
  • ½ oz lime juice
  • 2 oz vodka
  • 200 ml ginger beer
  • Ice as needed
  • Lime slice and mint sprig for garnish

Equipment

  • Chilled copper mug or insulated cup
  • Muddler
  • Measuring jigger
  • Spoon for stirring

Method

  1. Place your copper mug or insulated cup in the freezer until well chilled, then remove it just before mixing the drink.
  2. Add the mint leaves and lime juice directly into the chilled mug. Gently muddle the mint to release its oils and fragrance into the lime juice.
  3. Fill the mug with a generous handful of crushed ice, then pour the vodka over the top.
  4. Finish by topping the mug with ginger beer and add extra ice if desired. Stir gently to combine while keeping the bubbles intact.
  5. Garnish with a fresh lime slice and a sprig of mint, then serve immediately while ice cold.

Notes

This cocktail proves how one simple ingredient can transform a familiar classic into something even more refreshing.
The addition of mint makes the Moscow Mule feel brighter, cooler, and more vibrant without losing the signature spicy sparkle that makes it so popular.
It’s quick to prepare, easy to customize, and perfect whenever you want a crisp, ice-cold drink that feels both effortless and elevated.
