Ingredients
  

  • 2 large chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Flour for dredging
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter divided
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms sliced
  • 1 large garlic clove minced
  • 3/4 cup Marsala wine
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Method
 

  1. Slice the chicken breasts in half lengthwise to create thinner cutlets, then season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder before lightly coating in flour.
  2. Heat olive oil and part of the butter in a skillet over medium-high heat, then add the chicken and cook until golden on both sides before removing it from the pan.
  3. Add the remaining butter and mushrooms to the same skillet, cooking until they are browned and tender.
  4. Stir in the garlic and Marsala wine, allowing it to simmer and reduce slightly.
  5. Pour in the cream and return the chicken to the pan, cooking until the chicken is fully done and the sauce thickens.
  6. Adjust seasoning as needed and garnish if desired before serving.
